Terms and Conditions

Article 1 — Purpose

These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between Mayeul CADIEU, trading as Cantal Parapente, sole trader registered under SIRET number 993 666 866 00013, and any individual (hereinafter "the Client") wishing to book a tandem paragliding experience.

Any booking implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Article 2 — Services offered

Cantal Parapente offers tandem paragliding flights supervised by an APPI certified pilot, on flying sites in the South Cantal area. The available services are:

• Discovery Flight (~15 minutes) — €90
• Thermals Flight (~30 minutes) — €120
• Grand Flight (~45 minutes, video included) — €170
• Gift Voucher — valid on all flights, validity period 1 year

Additional options are available: photo & video souvenir pack (+€20), group rates on request.

Flight durations are indicative and may vary depending on weather conditions and thermal activity on the day.

Article 3 — Booking

Bookings are made by phone or WhatsApp at +33 7 81 61 94 72, or by email at may.cadieu@gmail.com.

The booking is confirmed by message exchange (WhatsApp, SMS or email). No deposit is required for individual bookings. A deposit may be requested for group bookings (4 people or more).

The Client is informed that the flight date may be subject to change depending on weather conditions. The pilot will confirm the feasibility of the flight the day before.

Article 4 — Prices and payment methods

All prices are stated in euros including VAT. Payment is made on the day of the flight, on site, using the following methods:

• Cash
• Cheque (payable to Mayeul CADIEU)
• Bank transfer (details provided on request)

Prices are subject to change. The applicable rate is the one in force at the time of booking.

Article 5 — Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation by the Client

In the absence of a deposit (standard case), no charge is made in the event of cancellation, regardless of the date or reason. The Client may cancel freely and at no cost.

If a deposit has been paid (groups), it will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made more than 48 hours before the scheduled flight date.

Cancellation due to weather conditions

The safety of participants is the absolute priority of Cantal Parapente. If weather conditions do not allow the flight to be carried out safely, the pilot reserves the right to cancel or postpone the flight.

In the event of weather cancellation:

• The flight is rescheduled at no cost to a later date agreed between both parties
• Any deposit paid is fully refunded if the Client does not wish to reschedule

Cancellation by the service provider

In the event of cancellation at the initiative of Cantal Parapente for any other reason (force majeure, pilot unavailability, etc.), the Client will be fully refunded for all amounts paid.

Article 6 — Participation conditions

Minimum age

Tandem paragliding flights are available from 5 years old, with no upper age limit.

Minors

For any person under 18 years of age, a written parental consent form is mandatory. It must be signed by the legal guardian and handed to the pilot before the flight. The legal guardian or a designated adult must be present at the site on the day of the flight.

Weight and physical conditions

The maximum passenger weight is 140 kg. Beyond this, the service cannot be provided for safety reasons related to equipment certification. Clients are invited to specify their weight at the time of booking.

No specific physical condition is required. The Client must be able to run a few steps during the take-off phase.

Health conditions

The Client confirms being in good health and not suffering from any medical contraindications to paragliding (serious cardiac disorders, uncontrolled epilepsy, etc.). If in doubt, a prior medical consultation is recommended.

Clothing

Wearing closed-toe shoes (trainers or hiking shoes) is mandatory for the take-off phase. A windproof jacket and trousers are strongly recommended.

Article 7 — Safety and liability

Cantal Parapente holds Professional Civil Liability insurance taken out with SAAM Verspieren Group, covering all tandem paragliding activities.

Passenger insurance covers up to €1,600,000 per accident and/or event, in accordance with European Regulation (EC) No 785/2004 of 21 April 2004. This coverage notably includes the repatriation of the passenger in the event of an accident occurring during the flight.

Pilot Mayeul CADIEU holds the APPI Professional Tandem Pilot licence (Association of Paragliding Pilots & Instructors), an international certification that entitles him to sell aerial transport services by paragliding, in accordance with the Montreal Convention and the regulations of the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale).

The Client agrees to:

• Carefully follow the safety instructions given during the briefing
• Respect the pilot's instructions before, during and after the flight
• Inform the pilot of any health issue that could affect the flight
• Not be under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances

Cantal Parapente cannot be held liable for damages resulting from the Client's failure to comply with safety instructions.

Article 8 — Image rights

Photos and videos may be taken during the flight. This content is intended to be given to the Client as a personal keepsake.

Cantal Parapente may use some of these visuals for communication purposes (website, social media). Clients who do not wish their image to be used for these purposes are invited to inform the pilot before the flight.

Article 9 — Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 1 year from their date of purchase, on all flights offered by Cantal Parapente.

They are non-transferable and non-refundable, but their validity may be extended upon request and subject to agreement by the service provider.

In the event of weather cancellation, the gift voucher retains its validity and can be used for a future flight.

Article 10 — Personal data protection

Personal data collected (name, contact details, weight) is used solely for the purpose of the service and is not passed on to third parties.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Client has the right to access, rectify and delete their data. To exercise this right: may.cadieu@gmail.com

Article 11 — Applicable law and disputes

These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as a priority. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent courts in the jurisdiction of Cantal Parapente's registered address.
